On the Warpath with Myth

We are going to celebrate our final paper-based entry with a touch of hardcore veteran confidence, that player who has it all is Myth. The lad made his debut appearance at XL6 with his old online friends who have seen success previously. Since then, his input on the community has allowed competition and banter to resume at the peak of destruction. Let's see what this guy has to say for himself about the community and other people!

Warpath: Now this is a nice acquaintance, wouldn’t you agree?

Myth: An absolute fantastic acquaintance if I do say so myself!

Warpath: Well it certainly is old chap! Can you define “Gears of War 2010”?

Myth: Past its prime despite this partial resurrection to make things active again. Not to mention full of players who were cannon fodder back in its prime, who think they are top dogs all of a sudden.

Warpath: The past is where it all began my friend. Can you name a few players who you think are just worthy of frag practice?

Myth: People like Goldie, Marfach and some guys I played earlier; Tartays and that.

Warpath: Is it their attitudes or the way they play, or?

Myth: Both really. Marfach don't have attitudes; it's just the way they play is so pointless.

Warpath: If we are to understand who you think in the community has given themselves a good name who isn’t part of the primed past, who deserves mention and why?

Myth: I would only say Royalty because they have been winning but then again they've been winning against people like Goldie etc so that's no real accomplishment or basis for praise.

Warpath: And the structure of the community regarding people that have been playing the role of caretaker, admins, and optimists?

Myth: At the moment the community is being run pretty well with the help of you and Wagman. Then the big daddy, Loco, is running the show with regards to ECL etc. Not much can go wrong at the moment with you three.

Warpath: Well you can trust us to make everything perfect for you guys! Let’s change the topic to your current team. I want to know your point of view and how you feel deep down about teaming with the likes of Godshot again. Is there a buzz or some sort of nostalgic fever kicking in? Or is this team just down to being friends and re-establishing a unity to achieve high standards?

Myth: Current team as you know the re-formation of the old Affliction/PwR line-up that didn't make it to iSeries (which we would have won with ease if we had). But it feels good to back but! GodShot’s not sure if he's even going to play and if he's not I don't think we'll even bother because what we all wanted was a last crack at LAN with the 'team that never was' if you dig?

Warpath: I get you blud. Talking about i38, it was the likes of you and Leo that were condemning the event as well as the competition. Are you kind enough to go more in detail about this event in terms of it being a “Mickey Mouse” weekend?

Myth: Well what we were going on about is the amount of people that were going on about playing great at the event, when the competition was poor, out of the top3 on the game at the time it was only infused attended as a full team and I firmly believe that the “Reaxion pick up team” wouldn’t of even had a sniff at t5 at either XL5/6 due to the competition. Since they finished 4th at the event they think there some LAN champions when truthfully, they just played a bunch of unorganised teams.

Warpath: You seem confident about being correct in that sense sir. If Godshot backed down in the end, can you name one player that has the right to step into his shoes?

Myth: Well we've been playing with Rick when Liam’s not online, and we all love Rick and he's awesome but no one, absolutely no one can step into Liam’s size 18 Jesus creepers.

Warpath: I’d do anything to get Rick back up to LAN; he is a champion like you mate. If there is any advice for all the people that are in a different league from yours who hope to strive towards greatness, what would you say?

Myth: For me it's all about communication, I am constantly telling my team what’s going on around me and call out pretty much everything all the time and believe me it helps heap loads. I'd definitely say I have the best comms on the game bar none people like Mike and my team can back me up on this, fact!

Warpath: Brilliant co-operation tonight man! For the community’s sake, Irish or Scottish?

Myth: Welsh.

Warpath: Defiance at its finest! What is your best GoW one-liner of abuse?

Myth: It all depends on who it is, I have a different one for pretty much everyone on the game

Warpath: Cigar and a waffle, or a smoke and a pancake?

Myth: Smoke and pancake all the way.

Warpath: Would you rather have a run in with a Turkish prostitute with a glass eye and false arm or a 65 year old with saggy tits?

Myth: The 65 year old, I love a bird with miles in the gas tank!

Warpath: I guess I am not the only one who loves mature women. You cannot go wrong with an old bint with experience kids. The last question; dream celebrity woman?

Myth: Your not alone big man. What kind of man would I be if I didn't say Megan Fox? So I'm gonna say Elisha Cuthbert because I'm better and more important than you all.

Although Myth's regarded as one of the top players he's still underrated, probably one of the most selfless players I've seen. He's my pick from Affliction has being a game changer, not from having to put massive stats on the board but through being the team anchor.

With regards to answer about 'GoW 2010', at this rate Gears at ECL is looking to have the biggest European prize fund ever for a GoW 1 LAN, so although the game is no longer in it's prime, the competition is looking strong.
