This is the moment where our very own community comedian gets his say. Dutton is a prime example of mature, fair and typical cool player. His charisma and attendance at various LANs has allowed him and his companion, Killmanjaro, to rip up the scene in anyway possible (despite lack of practice due to being 24 hour party animals haha).

Warpath: It gives me great pleasure to interview one of my favourite guys. Can you show me the love by saying what is so great about yours truly?

Dutton: Well you my friend have kept the GoW community alive and you’ve put so much effort into it, for that I thank you! Plus your LAN was amazing!

Warpath: Awwww you are something else! For such a well-established character how come you do not post much on the forums?

Dutton: Well I used to be Mod and was very active I still go on the forum a lot I only post if its worth posting about unless its about me or my team mates but I’m very happy to see the amount of people who still use the forum and its great to see so many exciting players pulling through the ranks.

Warpath: I reckon it would be nice to see you post all sorts of crap whether it’s viable or not haha. People have never regarded you as a nice guy, good player etc. etc. So what do you have to say in your defence about your renowned status as a “wall-bouncing host-player”?

Dutton: Well a lot of people know me in the community and I never really get any hassle off other players. As for my wall-bouncing, its jus something I always did right from the start of playing Gears and when I developed it into host, it became destructive. I no longer play on host as my new role for the team is a sniper and anyone who plays with or against me must surely know I can use the weapon to a decent standard.

Warpath: It’s a relief to hear you don’t get hassle, but when people have said you are not a consistent LAN player and suck balls online, I always disagree with them statements. This interview is about you so can you tell me what makes you decent and always on the ball for a worthy contention of t10?

Dutton: Anyone who has teamed with me in the past knows that I’m a sound lad and good player. In my team, my comms have grown to a massive extent, my skills get more solid as my team builds, and my sniping has sky rocketed. I would like to think I play well online but not to look like much of a connection player

I am confident that I always prevail on LAN despite my above average LAN placements. I’ve been told by other respective members of the community that when I play on LAN, my shotgun is immense.

Warpath: Now people understand your perspective of your GoW skills, how about you tell us how you manage to shine with your phenomenal comedic moments with a genius approach?

Dutton: Lol! I enjoy making people laugh man; it’s what I love to do best. When I meet people for the first time off Xbox, I introduce myself with courtesy and then try to show people that I am witty and outgoing. I am quite a familiar face in funny GoW videos such my MC’ing, or me shouting at your camera haha! But when everyone is cool its easier to be hilarious and jokey!

Warpath: Can we hear one of your best one-liners?

Dutton: 100,000 sperm and you were the fastest?

Warpath: Good one haha! Let’s continue this unique discussion about the funny side of GoW. I recall that the funniest thing ever was Killmanjaro getting stranded at Reading train station. What do you have to say about this and perhaps other major amusing moments?

Dutton: OMG! Well, I lost my train ticket so Danny bought me a £60 ticket. As we ran for the train I got on it and the door closed in Danny’s face and I was screaming at the steward but they wouldn’t open the door. That’s when I found you guys and we laughed it off. But the best moment would be the live action Wall-bounce on Pyro. Ninja asked me to do it so I ran into the wall shouted WALLLLLLLLBOUNCE and flung Pyro. much love to Ben though he’s a sound guy and I love him!

Warpath: It was just killing me inside that the cool guy with the beanie next to us couldn’t help to laugh his tits off with us as well. That proves you can win the hearts of anybody right?

Dutton: I try my hardest to be the best and the funniest I can to be honest; it is who I am. It appeals to me that people think I’m funny and not a bad kid.

Warpath: It has also been a pleasure having you and Danny as company. It is quite interesting that we maintain a close relationship by travelling to LANs together and camping together in our little Mancunian/cool kid group. Does that play a vital part as another aspect of the enjoyable part of the game?

Dutton: Of course one of the main reasons for attending LAN is to play my heart out, but I also enjoy the funny banter. We always have drunken / stoned debates :P It’s because there are so many nice people who play Gears like yourself that makes the game still fun to play and I’m always happy to see the same faces at LAN and the same people getting drunk and having a good time.

Warpath: I tried to convince Nero to book you in at our hotel but he didn’t (sad face). Will you miss us this time despite seeing us at the ECL stadium?

Dutton: Obviously I will miss you guys! We always attend LANs together it’s what we do! Of course I am upset we won’t be in the same hotel, so I think I will make special effort to spend at least one of the nights with you guys to give this LAN some good memories and good sending off!

Warpath: Sounds brilliant man. Why do you speak as if this is the end for us/GoW when this shit is far from over man?

Dutton: All I’m hoping for is that GoW doesn’t die and that more LANs come up because that is what will keep the community alive if people stay committed. There needs to be a consistent flow of turnouts, and then we can expect more cool events in the future.

Warpath: Phew! I got worried there for a second Dutton, losing you would shatter my soul haha but still we ain’t that far apart! Got any tricks up your sleeve for this massively anticipated event then?

Dutton: I think I will walk into ECL with Mythic and show everybody that this team as well as myself can certainly perform to a high standard. Besides that, I may have a few surprises for a small bunch of people at this event you will have to wait and see

Warpath: Fabulous interview overall and top answering overall my friend. Now let us do the quick fire questions to top this off. I might already know the answer to this but I merely disremember the truth behind rumours of you leaving a banging shit in the upstairs toilet of Natalie’s residence. Can you confirm it was you despite blaming the rest of us?

Dutton: All night I said it was Syd :P But yes, I did leave a complete steamer in your toilet and your house had to suffer lol

Warpath: Did you think you were hard as nails with that giant meat cleaver you managed to get your paws on?

Dutton: Well I was trying to get some shuteye when I heard the girlish screams of Syd, NickT and Justice echoing around the fucking house so I got up to investigate and saw Natalie. She told me what was going on so I got the cleaver from the kitchen and got them all in one room and scared the life out of them all. Then I went back to sleep haha!

Warpath: Before you found out the real reasoning behind the cute gesture of Natalie and Claire baking you all butterfly cakes with your names on them before finding out one of them was spiked with Viagra, who do you think deserved it and do you actually know who ate it?

Dutton: Haha! Well seeming as Viagra doesn’t even work for me I wouldn’t be able to tell if it took effect on me, but I think it was Danny who ate it lmao I was intoxicated for most of the weekend so I couldn’t rely remember lol! If someone deserved it I would have to say Syd for being a drunken mess.

Warpath: Well after swapping the flags around so much it did actually reach Danny in the end haha. Syd was going to be the victim but NickT thought it would be really tight despite him transforming into a complete gimp after taking a chug of blue cheese lol. One more question, fittest celebrity?

Dutton: Jessica Alba because she is just pukka!
